Grace Janette Hay, age 71, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg.

She was born February 22, 1950, at Poplar Plains in Fleming County, a daughter of the late John P. and Nelva Lowell Watson Hay.

Grace is survived by three brothers, Johnny Lowell Hay and wife Carolyn of Bethel, Ohio, James Michael Hay and wife Etta of Flemingsburg, and Jeffrey Paul Hay of Morehead; three sisters, Sharon L. Blum of Ocean, New Jersey, Jeannie K. Hay of Flemingsburg, and Lorraine Leadingham of Owingsville, and several nieces and nephews.

Grace loved her family and enjoyed chewing gum, looking at magazines, and visiting with her family and friends, especially those at Pioneer Trace.  Grace never met a stranger and once anyone met her, she always remembered them as a friend. She will be sadly missed.

Grace was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Jim Sears officiating.  Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
