Obituary

Hazel Pettit, 92 years, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the Horizon of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center, in Seaman, Ohio.

Hazel was born on September 12, 1926, in Fleming County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late George and Virginia (Davis) Barber. Hazel spent her life caring for her family, and her home. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Winchester Post #242.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Leon Pettit, to whom she was married over 65 years. She is survived by a son, Dennis (Janis) Pettit, of Winchester; and a step-grandson, Darren Underhill, of Winchester.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home, in Winchester.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Fairview Cemetery, in Grange City, Hillsboro, Kentucky, with Randy Hawkins officiating.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel and Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Kentucky.
