Rondal Lee "Ron" Carter, of Orchard Road, Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Life Care Center in Morehead. Born October 7, 1947, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Marshall Carter and Mary Brent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Libby Brent and one brother, Robert Marshall Carter. Ron is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen Jones Carter, whom he married December 18, 1971; one sister, Sue Coons and husband George of LaGrange; one sister-in-law, Barbara Scott and husband Joe of Campbellsburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was a former senior investigator for United States Department of Agriculture and enjoyed camping, practicing target shooting, collecting knives, and spending time with his wife.
