Ruth Ann Swim Gray Sapp, age 75, of Mt. Sterling Road, Flemingsburg, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at St Claire HealthCare in Morehead.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Wayne Gray, and second husband, Roger Sapp.

Born June 26, 1948, in Lewis County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Swim and Helen Toller Swim.  In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Swim and Wilburn Swim, and a sister, Louise Duzan.

She is survived by her three children:  Larry (Renée) Gray, Terry (Jenny) Gray, and Janet (Brian) Kinney; her siblings: Tommy Swim, Lillie Hardymon, Virgil Swim, Bonnie Brown; her grandchildren:  Dewayne (Shaina) Gray, DJ (Kayla) McCall and Brandon (Kayla) Thomas.

Her stepchildren are Tony (Debbie) Sapp, Phillip Sapp, Lisa Shannon, Dennis Sapp, and Becky Sapp (widow of Rick).

Ruth retired from the Fleming County School System where she was employed for 30 years.  She enjoyed taking care of her flowers in the summer and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Hutton Funeral Home with Jared DeAtley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Delbert Johnson, Jonathan Singleton, Dewayne Gray, Melburn Bradley, Brian Sapp, and Jeremy Sapp.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
