Sandra Lee McRoberts Savey, age 73, of McRoberts Lane, Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehab Center in Owingsville.

Born December 12, 1946, in Maysville, she was the only child of the late Clive Rawlings McRoberts and Olive Ayres Call McRoberts.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Michael Savey, whom she married June 19, 1965; three daughters, Michele Rau (Brian) of Maysville, Melissa Gray (Rick) of Elizabethtown, and Abby Savey (Matthew Maze) of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Ashlee Stewart, James Michael Stewart, Destini Stewart, Blanton Rau, Eric Gray, Ryan Gray, Dylan Gray, and Zachary Hamilton; and seven great grandchildren, Summer Harmon and Harper, Ethan, Hadley, Aubrey, Colton, and Bryson Gray.

Other survivors include two sisters-in-law, Valerie Savey Logsdon of Elizabethtown and Opal Brock of Richmond; numerous nieces, great nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She retired in 1994 as the Activities Coordinator at Pioneer Trace Nursing and Rehab Center in Flemingsburg and was a member of the Grange City Christian Church. Sandra enjoyed researching genealogy, quilting, crocheting, making crafts, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Richard Engle officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Brian Rau, Matthew Maze, Rick Gray, Zachary Hamilton, Michael Stewart, and Dylan Gray.

Honorary pallbearers:  Ryan Gray, Eric Gray, Charles "Chubby" Curtis, David Jent, Joe Simoneit, and Joey Simoneit.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7364 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.

COVID-19 restrictions will be observed.
