Terry Wayne Burton, age 68, of Johnson Flat Road, Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born February 7, 1954, in Bethel, Ohio, a son of the late Charles D. Burton and Clara Jean Boothby.

Terry leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Terri Baker Burton, whom he married July 6, 1984; two sons, Eric Wayne Burton of Ohio, and David Pearson (Angela) of Winchester; three daughters, Teresa Jean Simmons (Paul) and Tina Mae Gay, all of Georgia, and Faith Hause of Morehead; two brothers, Gary Lee Burton (Sheila) of Ohio, and Barry Burton (Cathy) of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Burton was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired copier technician after more than 25 years of employment. He was a member of High Point Apostolic Church in Winchester and had a strong love for God, nature and horses.  The Lord and his family were at the top of his list. To know him was to love him; his life touched so many others.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Hutton Funeral Home with Pastor David Pearson and Paul Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Morehead with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Hutton Funeral Home 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
