Betty Ann Jimison Pugh, age 81, of Wallingford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at the U.K. Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born September 15, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter of the late Dewey and Betty Lee Tolle Jimison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Albert Pugh, who passed away December 1, 2014; her son, David Matthew Pugh, who passed away August 15, 1991; and five siblings, Veraline Dawn McClurg, Raymond Timothy Jimison, Phillip Andrew Jimison, Daniel David Jimison, and Johnny Ray Jimison Troxell.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Leah Pugh Hedges and husband Greg of Ewing, KY; one son, James Albert Pugh of Wallingford, KY; two grandchildren, Keeli Anais Hedges Mix and husband Chris of Ewing, KY, and Katherine Reese Hedges (Doug Abdon) of Florence, KY; and her fiancé, Samuel “Sam” Lambert of Hillsboro, KY.
Other survivors to cherish her memory include one sister, Naomi Rachel Bradford of Paducah, KY; three brothers, Steven Nathaniel Jimison of Paducah, KY, and Joshua Malachi Jimison and Dewey Jeremiah Jimison, both of Ewing, KY; as well as extended family members and friends.
Betty grew up in Ashland, KY, moved to Sharkey, KY, and married William Albert Pugh, who was a resident of Wallingford, KY, on September 19, 1964. She has been staying with her daughter Leah since April 2023.
Betty was a devoted homemaker and when she was able enjoyed dancing, attending senior citizens events three times a week, talking on the phone, and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed and remembered with love.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. with Minister Larry Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery (360 Spring Road, Wallingford, KY 41093) with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
