Brenda Jane (Lowery) Burton

Brenda Jane Lowery Burton, age 74, of Hilltop Road, Ewing, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at St. Claire HeathCare in Morehead after a brief illness.

Born April 27, 1948, in Ft. Thomas, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Lowery and Laverne Doughty Lowery.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Ann “Judy” Lowery and a stepdaughter, Angie Burton Lykins.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Marvin Burton; one son, Robert “Bob” Lowery of Fleming County; one daughter, Jennifer Lowery of Petersburg, Virginia; two step sons, Matthew Burton of Hillsboro and Brian Burton of Richmond; one brother, Bill Lowery of Florida; ten grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

She was a former nurse and was of the Christian faith. Brenda enjoyed sewing, quilting, making dolls, and especially spending time with family. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Hutton Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following at 4:00 p.m. with Brother Randy Hawkins officiating.
