Dolly Link Fawns, age 92, of Lower Rock Lick Road, Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at U.K. St. Claire Hospital in Morehead.
Born December 15, 1932, in Frenchburg, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Link and Mattie Mae Walton Link. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harold Bruce Fawns, who passed away on March 16, 2024; five sons, Wayne Crawford, Billy Crawford, Ricky Crawford, Henry Curtis and Samuel Curtis; six brothers, Floyd, Roy, George, Marvin, Cordell, and Recie Link; and three sisters, Pearl Link, Louann Black, and Martha Link.
She is survived by two daughters, Melissa “Lisa” Gardner of Hillsboro and Frances “Louise” Riddle of Owingsville; one son, Danny Crawford of Louisville; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
Dolly was a homemaker and when she was able, she enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Dolly will be remembered with love and greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Randy Hawkins and Brother Sherman Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tracey Riddle, Phillip Riddle, Andrew Gardner, Samuel Curtis, Elijah Gardner, Bocephus Crawford, Cordell Crawford, and Braden Riddle.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049 to assist with funeral expense.
