Kenneth Ray “Buck” Walker, age 80, of Hillsboro, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home.
He was born in Lewis County, Kentucky, on March 28, 1941, to the late Marshall and Minnie Littleton Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Celia Irene “Sue” Spurlock Walker on August 5, 2011, and his brother, Vernon Lee Walker on October 9, 2016.
Survivors include his two sisters-in-law, Shella Walker of Hillsboro, Kentucky; three nephews; seven nieces; and many great nephews and nieces; great-great nephews and nieces; cousins; friends; and his special furry friend Buddy.
Buck was a farmer and also worked at Fleming County and Paris Rock Quarry. He enjoyed attending different churches, playing and singing for the Lord. Buck enjoyed auctions, getting together with his musical friends and playing music (his nickname was “guitar man”), hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and hanging out at the Hillsboro Handi-Mart playing his guitar and telling stories. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Randy Hawkins and Brother Jamie Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Mark Walker, Wendell Walker, William Earl Humphries, Nelson Wayne Humphries, James Walker, and Tim Vice. Honorary pallbearers: Roy Calton and Scott Moore.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made payable to Hutton Funeral Home to assist with burial expenses.
