Richard Clark Obituary

 

Richard Albert Clark, age 79, of Sunset Road, Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling.

 

Born September 15, 1939, in Nepton, he was a son of the late William J. Clark and Anna Linville Clark.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Claire and a brother, George Clark.

 

Richard is survived by his wife of 29 years, Barbara Sloan Clark, whom he married April 13, 1990; two daughters, Dana Clark and Lori Clark, both of Fleming County; extended family members and many friends, including his wonderful church family.

 

He retired from Fleming Mason RECC after 41 years serving as a lineman and served six years in the U. S. Army National Guard.  Richard was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church and enjoyed gardening, volunteering at the Hillsboro Area Food Pantry, and spending time with his church family.

 

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Hillsboro Christian Church with Brother Jim Hamm and Brother Gerald Saunders officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hillsboro Area Food Pantry, 85 Denton Street, Hillsboro, KY 41049
