Ruby Christine (Howard) Morris

Ruby Christine Howard Morris, age 94, of Johnson Ford Road, Hillsboro, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 8, 1931, in Bath County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Howard and Daisy Crisp Howard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Morris and James Morris; two brothers, Emery Howard and Stanley Howard; two sisters, Joyce Morris and Lola Back; and one grandson, Dustin Morris.

Ruby is survived by one son, Clarence Morris of Hillsboro; three daughters, Donna Jent (David) of Morehead, Coleen Jent of Hillsboro, and Lynn Stifle (Dan) of Hillsboro; one brother, Leslie Dunn of Hazel Green; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several extended family members.

She was a homemaker and a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ruby enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and canning. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren.

Ruby will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family forever.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Richard Engle and Brother Tim Harpe officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
