Wanda Fultz Hawkins Spurlock, 79, of Colfax, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at St. Claire Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Menifee County December 13, 1940, to the late Willie and Frona Walton Fultz. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Herndon Fultz, and her first husband, Charlie James Hawkins.
Wanda is survived by her husband of almost 37 years, Virgil Spurlock; two sons, Randy (Rhonda) Hawkins and Jamie (Denise)Hawkins, all of Grange City; and a daughter, Becky (Scotty) Dailey of Colfax; nine grandchildren, Adam Hawkins, Amy Konopka, Josh Hawkins, Kayla Alfrey, Ethan and Madison Hawkins, Amanda, April, Amber, and Andrea Dailey; nine great grandchildren; and one expected great grandchild.
She is also survived by her step children, Louise Wagner, Kathy Worrell, Brenda Crout, Nita Payne, Gary Spurlock, and Ronnie Spurlock; 15 step grandchildren; and 28 step great grandchildren.
Wanda is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Sharlet (Wanda)Fultz, Virginia (Walter) Hawkins, Henry (Olive) Fultz, Roy (Lena) Fultz, and Brenda (Danny) Pollitt; and several nieces and nephews.
Wanda was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was a member of the Sharkey Freewill Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife and homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a beloved sister who was loved by all who knew her. Wanda was known for her kind and gentle nature.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2020, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr., Pastor Elijah Sexton, and Brother Willie Skaggs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Adam Hawkins, Josh Hawkins, Ethan Hawkins, Jesse Alfrey, Josh Konopka, Scotty Dailey, Jamie Hawkins, and Randy Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers: Roy Fultz, Sharlet Fultz, Henry Fultz, Walter Hawkins, and Danny Pollitt.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
