William Banks

William Banks, age 74, of Watson Road, Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born October 12, 1944, in Wrigley, he was the son of the late Harlan and Christine Whitt Banks.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Weiss Banks, whom he married July 30, 1965; a son, William Arthur Banks of Hillsboro; a daughter, Cindy Oliver of Morehead; three grandchildren, Tommy, Tiffany, and Maggie; and four great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Brice, Ayden, and Gabriel.

William was a U.S. Navy veteran serving his country from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1967. He was a retired construction contractor.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Jim Hamm officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery with full military honors presented by Flemingsburg Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 and American Legion Post No. 5. 

Pallbearers will be members of Flemingsburg Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 and American Legion Post No. 5. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Hutton Funeral Home, 7634 Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, KY 41049.
